Why Qatar is getting more visitors every year?

According to Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), they are on track of achieving 3 million tourist arrivals for the first time by the end of this year. Referring to a 30 % increase in the number of tourists from GCC countries such as Saudi Arabia in 2014, QTA is exerting more efforts in the Gulf market. A report released by QTA in April showed that Qatar’s tourism industry continued its growth in the first quarter of this year (January-March).

What do you think Qatar has to attract visitors and needs to improve to maintain or increase its tourism?

 

The city now is evolving, and moving beyond the great to establish itself as a vibrant destination with a quality and diverse tourism offer and a range of attractions to suit every type of traveller or tourist. Qatar is maturing and welcoming as it is accessible, for both leisure and business tourists. Qatar aims to become one of truly international city by attracting more and more visitors of all budgets.

 

To attract tourist it is not to just keep on building and increasing Malls all around Doha, but to also build entertainment hubs for family and kids, which is still not at large. Big parks similar to Disneyland can attract more tourist, which is much required in Qatar. There are small kids entertainment places in Malls, but are very small just to cater a small number of people. Hope in next 5 years we can see something unexpected, which will see more tourist numbers visiting Qatar.

 

I think Qatar has this friendly people and environment. Qatar has an essence of welcoming every person stepping on the state. Aside from that, it's peaceful here and it has a lot to offer especially during holidays that attract tourists from other GCC states and even from European countries. And investing in different sports activities to be held in Qatar is one of the strategies to keep these number of visitors increase.Indeed QTA is on the right track. Good job.
