Traffic fines or traffic violation

Year 2012 one of my friend paid 6000 QAR for red light crossing. Which is is really painful .just be neglegent of the traffic light and have to pay her whole monthly salary.
I heard from many that on an average Traffic violation fine is around 1000 QAR per person per year.
Share about your experience regarding traffic violation if u dont mind. And what are the precautions or advicecan you suggest for our members..

 

Our company driver paid around 10,000 QR for traffic violations in a whole year of 2010. Mostly over-speeding. So he became watchful with his speed after that. He found out also that cameras are not installed only on a post in the middle of the road. If you see a car parked somewhere, there may be a camera also installed there. Obey the traffic rules always to be safe and not to waste your hard earned money.

 

Agree Bonjiek just follow the all traffic signs all over qatar. for instance, if you find 80 or 100 speed limit, pls follow even there is no camera. remember, your family is always waiting you at home safely. wake up early to avoid overspeeding or any other violations

Yes that's very dangerous. If the signal is yellow, should slow down not to rush.
