The public sector will have five days off for Eid Al Adha this year, starting on Wednesday, Sept. 23, the Emiri Diwan has announced.

Government ministries will be off from Sept. 23 (the day before Eid) until Sept. 29, according to QNA.

Regular hours for ministries, authorities and other public or government institutions will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

As far as the private sector, companies typically give employees three days, although it depends on the employer.

Schools appear to vary in the days they are taking off, and bank holidays have yet to be announced by Qatar Central Bank.
