    Hello QForumers,

Is it okay to post a picture wearing Qatari costume on social media like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram?

I have quoted this from http://www.lifeinqatar.com/en/article/living/culture-and-etiquette-in-qatar.html

    * Qataris don’t take offence when a non-Qatari wears the national dress; a long, flowing white garment called the thobe and the headdress called the gutra. It’s very rare to see non-Arab men wearing the national dress, but it does happen.

So I think even if we found some men and women in any social media wearing national costume of Qataris they dont feel offended.

Thanks for this link @Darling. It just so happened that when I had my ID picture shoot at studio, I was eager to try to wear the costume and find out the outcome. I have this picture I think 2 or 3 years ago but did not dare to post on internet for the fear that I may offend the nationals. :)
