    Pedestrian accidents are very dangerous as it lead to fatalities and serious injuries. If both pedestrians and motorist take care of the following notes we can avoid these type of accidents

    Advices for Motorists
    1. Slow down your vehicle while approaching roundabouts, intersections and crosswalks.
    2. Please give adequate and more time for children, senior citizens and disabled persons to cross the road.
    3. Don’t overtake nearby pedestrian crosses.
    4. Be attentive while driving nearby hospitals, schools, masjids, and residential areas.
    5.Be careful while reversing your car.

    Advices for Pedestrians
    1.Use the proper places to cross the roads like zebra lines, pedestrian signals, in front of traffic police.etc.
    2. Keep waiting away from the edges of roads
    3. Keep your eyes constantly scanning the road. keep your ears open and listen to alerts of vehicles.
    4. Let the vehicles coming fast or nearby you pass and wait for your turn watching the traffic.
    5. If the vehicles have stopped for crosswalk, or the road is free of vehicles take an easy walk to cross the road and don’t speed up or run so that it may cause slipping in roads.
    6. If crossing roads near or after dark areas without proper light wear bright or reflective clothing so that the drivers are capable to see you visibly.
    7. Always hold young children’s hands when crossing the street.

    And if you are having hard time to cross, signal the motorist to stop and the motorist should give way to the pedestrian.
