Using mobile phones and similar devices while driving creates a dangerous situation where the motorists lacks his concentration and it may lead for fatal accidents. Mobile phones are one of main villains in road accidents.

Studies have proved that most serious type accidents occur on a fraction of a second where the motorists lacks his concentration. There is no doubt that using mobile while driving will distract the concentration of driver as well his reaction on phone may affect the quality of his driving. Some cross the red signal unintentionally while they talk on mobiles while others don’t move their vehicle at the signal even if the signal has turned ‘green’. Some others drive dangerously slow speed in speed tracks as they will be engaged in mobile.

More than talking on mobile, some are engaged with texting, going through messages, checking social media, watching video and so on. These are more dangerous as the motorists eyes won’t be focusing on the road.

Although using hand held devices while driving is a traffic violation and there are certain cameras that capture these violations, many motorists still prefer using mobile while driving risking their safety and safety of other road users.

If driving under the influence of alcohol is prohibited, driving under the influence of cellphones is prohibited too. A lot of drivers are taking calls while they are driving and talking to someone while driving will reduce the level of your concentration on the road. Depending on the conversation it may excite you or raise your temper that might lead you out of control in driving. I hope each driver will be responsible enough to take this very seriously. If you have to take the call, answer it if you are not moving or stop somewhere safe and take the call. Advise the person calling you that you are driving and if possible to call you back or you call him back when you arrived to your destination. Also, don't text and drive.
