Qatar to issue a sticker free RP

I read it in an article today as per below link the issue about sticker free RP in Qatar. What's your thought on this guys.

It's time to say goodbye to our old qid card and welcome to the new I'd system to be issued by MOI as part of their vision to move every transaction in a paperless admin system and launch the electronic system. Hope my homecountry would adopt the same too to move faster in every transactions incurred daily.

 

Good job..great implementation..Hoping it making it easy also to acquire..

 

Does it mean our passport will no longer have this RP sticker? It will be in Qatar ID all in one? I saw my boss' Qatar ID and it has microchip on it, is that it?

 

To all Filipino Community living in the State of Qatar, please read the circular from Philippine Embassy below.

 

It will make the renewal of RP more faster since once they swipe your card its updated right away because' it's bearing all your information at once.

 

Somewhat its good but for security reasons not. As when we travel we carry our passport with us, now a new burden a card to be carried all time. While boarding airline staff insist in seeing passport for visa now they will see both passport and card.
