Qatar: 12 new mosques completed by Ashghal

    Construction of 12 new mosques in Qatar have now been completed, according to the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

    The mosques are in Muaither, Rawdat Qdeem, Al Aziziyah, Shehaniyyah, Industrial Area, Al Waab, Umm Sanim, Hasm Al Markhiyah and Al Wajbah.

    By the year-end eleven mosques will be handed over to the Ministry of Awqaf and one in the first quarter of next year, according to the authority.

    An additional nine more mosques will be built in Mughalina, Muaither and Abu Sidra.

    Presently, 10 mosques and Quran memorisation centres are in the design phase, in areas including Abu Sidra, Ras Barooq, Rawdat Rashid, Al Mearad, Umm Sanin, Abu Nakhla, Al Markhiyah, Al Gharaffa, Shahaniyyah, Ubaib and Rawdat Qdeem, Ashghal has reported. CONSTRUCTION WEEK
