In Qatar, protests of any kind is not allowed. Twelve Sri Lankan expats got blacklisted and deported for staging a protest following the fire incident at Al Sailiya.

I think these people really violated against Qatar rules so they have to accept their fate. Why do people get down to streets and publicly demonstrate protest? Are they really that desperate? And what can they get out of it? There are ways to voice out their sentiments in a proper manner. Going to streets to be heard publicly is just an immature way of dealing issues.

They also imposed bad reputation and irrespective image to fellow expatriates living here in Qatar. Which way do you think was the best way to tackle that matter?

I think you posted a topic not in line with above category and causing a confusion in this regard. Can this topic be moved to the category where this should belong?

On my own opinion its they fault..Being expat or people want to visit or reside in a country.you have to ready physically, mentally and spiritually..Before planning a trip to any destination, it is important to know that you should not break the law of the country at any point of time, else, even the embassy may not be able to assist you.

Ironically despite people having all that in mind they are still taking initiative in breaking brief rules, another case raised today of someone trying to take bribe.A case of two top finance officials from a premier educational institution allegedly demanding a bribe of QAR3m ($824,000) from an insurer for renewing its contract has come to light.

Protest is one of the prohibited activities in Qatar. There are proper ways to raise your opinions and be heard.
