It's summer and the temperature is undeniably high in the country.

According to Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), a stroke can happen to anyone at any time.
Being aware of the risk factors and maintaining healthy lifestyle choices will significantly reduce your chances of having a stroke.

    Factors that increase your risk:

    1. Smoking (including Shisha)
    2. High Cholesterol
    3. Not taking medication as prescribed
    4. Obesity
    5. High blood pressure
    6. Diabetes

Lifestyle choices that reduce your risk:

    1. Regular exercise
    2. Healthy diet
    3. Regular health check-ups

If you suspect a stroke, you can help by calling 999.

Signs that you may be having a stroke:
    1. Sudden numbness or weakness of the face, arm or leg, especially on one side of the body
    2. Sudden confusion, trouble speaking or understanding
    3. Sudden trouble seeing or blurred vision in one or both eyes
    4. Sudden trouble walking, dizziness, loss of balance or coordination
    5. Sudden severe headache with no known cause
You should never wait more than five minutes to dial 999 if you experience even one of the signs above. Remember, you could be having a stroke even if you’re not experiencing all of the symptoms. And remember to check the time. The responding emergency medical technician or ER nurse at the hospital will need to know when the first symptom occurred.

If finding the right time to exercise is really hard then a slight change with our choice of food can help to prevent stroke.
Lets start with healthy and green vegetables to start our day. Fish meat is better since it has good cholesterol such as salmon and mackerel are known best food for the hearts.Beans, brocolli and there are a lot of them in the grocery just cook them using little amount of olive oil or you can choose to steam them too. Start with a simple way of preparing your food and you will have a healthy and happy free from sickness life.
