No causalities were reported but some people sustained minor injuries. Another fire was reported in a villa in Ain Khalid. No one was injured.

Around 12.30pm, residents in Abu Hamour alerted Civil Defence after spotting smoke coming from shops in the market.

They said the fire appeared to have broken out near the Omani Souq. A Civic Defence team reached the spot and doused the blaze by around 2.45pm. The damaged outlets included two supermarkets involved in wholesale business near the souq.
