How to find a job in Qatar?

For our QForumers looking for a job, here are some tips for you on how to find a job in Qatar. Other members are welcome to share your tips as well.

• Find a recruitment agency but be careful in choosing an agency. Check this link for the list of agency in Qatar. http://qatardigest.com/index.php?c_id=Recruitment Agencies&start=0&m_id=7
• Check regularly on local newspapers like Gulf Times (http://www.gulf-times.com/dailypdf) or The Peninsula Qatar (http://thepeninsulaqatar.com/)
• Browse online for job sites like https://www.jobsinqatar.org/ or http://www.onlineqatar.com/jobs/
• Upload your CV online and let the employers find you. Make your CV stand out.
• Browse the official website of the company you wish to work with and find vacancies under Careers section.
• Sending directly your CV to the company is also a good idea. Some companies recruit from random CV's sent to their offices.
• Apply for a job you know very well, that you are competent so that you won't struggle when you got a call for a job interview from a certain employer.

Thanks for sharing the above information and link, will advise few of my friends job seekers.

 

But the problem is how to find a job without NOC!!

 

Anywhere you go in Qatar, NOC is a must to work. Those on free visa (what we hear) they get NOC easily and find job and also for those who are asked to find another job due to closer of company or business, they get it to find another but for those who are bound on contract and are brought from outside Qatar on a job visa do not get NOC easily or even NOT at all.

 

Lucky you if you get NOC as you have many options to try with other companies where you can offer the best of you and they can offer the best of them. It's a win-win situation. But for those, like me, who don't get NOC will have to be hopeful for the new Kafala system especially those who have been loyal or stuck in one company for a decade.

 

New kafala system seem to be taken a double of working period in the contract! I may spent over 5 years for free!! I dont hope and wait for effective new system

 

It isn't final yet but I think that's going to be implemented soon. If you will get better opportunity aside from Qatar, you're lucky and should grab it.

Hi @Johnpaul , there are many job opportunities here in Qatar. If you are in Qatar right now, you can check online, newspapers for the job opening. You may ask your friends who are also here in Qatar for referrals to other companies. If you are out of the country, It may be challenging for to get a job directly, as it goes with the process, through recruitment agencies. Unless, you know someone who is working here in Qatar and is eligible to apply a visit visa for you or sponsor for your stay. I wish you all the best in job hunting. Good luck.
