When smart card system for Karwa Bus transportation was launched, as far as I could remember there was no expiration but recently I have known that your card will be deactivated if not used within 6 months thus you have to purchase a new one.

What's your input about this guys?

yes they have a expiration date. The new policy says that based on the last activity of your card (be it a top-up or riding the bus), the system countdown 180 days (approx. 6 months) from that. This applies to old and newly sold Karwa Smartcards. While you keep on loading and using it your Karwa Smartcard remains active.

Why they put expiration to this when initially there was none? Purely business? I just wish they will improve their service like adding more buses to reduce the gap for the next scheduled route. And also to have this smart card loadable via Ooredoo or Vodafone.
