As Eid is nearing, the souqs and shopping complexes in the country will be busy and crowded with shoppers. As all members of the family will be going for shopping, it’s necessary that we should take care of following points.

Home Safety
As the family members may spent much time outside the house, please make sure that gas burners and electrical devices are switched off before starting from home.

Children Safety
Parents must ensure safety of children while out for shopping and should not let them cross the roads alone. As well, don’t leave them unattended while shopping.

Proper Parking
Some motorists resort to wrong and random parking nearby souqs and shopping complexes which further block the traffic or close the way in front of other vehicles. Some would park in the slots reserved for those with special needs ignoring their rights. Proper parking and respecting others rights will ensure smooth traffic flow for all.

Online Shopping
Those are shopping online are advised to ensure the shopping portal is verified and secure and don’t become victim of credit card theft and other online fraud activities. If you come across any suspicious websites report to cccc@moi.gov.qa.

Let safety and security be in your priority list always

Eid is time for joy and sharing and its also time to give more time for Allah. Shopping is required but is not a necessity, Shopping for Eid is for the poor who cant afford good thing all year long, but for us who have good life and we who do shopping all year long, should avoid doing so, we should think of doing more charity and sadka to poor and spend more time in Masjids. If shopping is still required should do it sooner and do not wait until close to Eid as its rush hour and everyone goes out and traffic all around. Keep safe and yes, as its mentioned above by one member, before you leave lock your house, while leaving your car in parking area, dont forget to lock too.

 

Does it mean during Eid time stuffs on malls are more cheaper? Yes it's too good to shop but not for ourselves but to give to the less fortunate back our country whom we know that after working hard to make money but still not sufficient to provide the daily family needs they deserve such reward. It feels so good after you have given something to someone who values much the thing you offer.

 

What I have noticed in supermarkets they have promotions but in department stores not much. Maybe by the end of Ramadan they will have more promotions.
