There was a news in Oman about two boys aged 5 and 6 who died after they locked themselves in a car.

According to the report, the parents of the boys were at home and discovered them inside the car only at around 5pm, after looking for them in the neighbourhood. The children might have suffocated due to the high temperature, according to a relative. The temperatures in Ibri have been hovering between 43° to 44° Celsius for last few days.

A Royal Oman Police (ROP) official has urged parents to always monitor their children. “Never allow them to play inside a vehicle or leave them in a car with the engine running,” an official said. He said the boys might have accidentally locked themselves in, but it seems they were not monitored.
