Which kind of watch do you prefer: Mechanical or Quartz?

Personally I prefer quartz or battery powered watch because I heard it's more accurate than an automatic watch or mechanical watch. Though I have to change the battery when it's not running at least I am doing it once every 2 years unlike mechanical watches if you haven't used them for quite sometime it stops and you have to adjust the time (and date).

What about you guys?

 

I prefer to choose Quartz. Nothing beats a quartz watch for reliable accurate long term performance and relative durability.and for me most quartz modules are not designed to be maintained.
But on the other hand most collectors tend to collect mechanicals instead of quartz, o The reason is easier to live with a collection where you don't have to worry about batteries dying and needing changing.

 

How about solar powered watches? Does anybody own one? What can you say about its performance?

I just realized this that's why it's not mentioned in the thread title. I think it is also cool to have a solar powered watch. I am just curious how it works. I hope somebody can share here.

 

Solar power is the best solution to green power these days abs I hope Qatar is moving fast to establish solar power units mainly in industries, as Solar power is much to say as Green power.
