Q: If we lost RP card outside the country, how can we come back?

A: The same procedure as it was before. Your employer can bring the lost report and apply for a return visa if you are outside the country. You can enter the country using this return visa. Once you are inside the country, can apply for the replacement card.

Q: Is it possible to change existing Residence permit to the new system now itself?
A: On your renewal time it will be done.

Q: If residence visa is not stamped in the passport what should we show in our country immigration counters??
A: You can show your residence card as it has been informed to all countries and other concerned authorities about the new system.

Q:What should we produce in case of police officer asked us to show valued visa ?
A:You can show your residence card as it’s the sole document that prove your valid residence in Qatar

Q: How long it will take for issuing New Residence Card?
A: All application received electronically for renewal of residence permit will be processed same day and if requested to be delivered by Q-post, Delivery inside within Doha will be within 24 hours and outside Doha within 48 hours.

Q:My RP is valid till May 2016. Is it possible to change now to new system?
A:You can change it at the time of renewal.

So it isn't necessary to change your RP if validity is still far?
If I go back to my home country I should be presenting my passport and ID card to the immigration officer since there's no visa stamp on my passport?

 

From the last FAQ it shows that if your RP is valid then it is not necessary to change your RP. it will be changed during your renewal.
