Totally banning the said social media's is not good. But maybe they can block users of facebook who are using this media to harm other people or acting to plan for destabilisation on their government. Maybe they just have to think of ways to control the users of fb than to ban this. What about the Filipino domestic helpers who are required by the POEA to have fb accounts so if ever they have problems they can use fb to get help from fellow filipinos.

Even though I am not in Saudi Arabia, I think this idea doesn't make sense at all. Why? Because even if these websites are banned there's another way to access them using Proxy Servers. What is this?

Highly anonymous proxies hide even the fact that they are being used by clients and present a non-proxy public IP address. So not only do they hide the IP address of the client using them, they also allow access to sites that might block proxy servers. (whatis.techtarget.com/definition/proxy-server)

Instead of banning these websites they should monitor those users abusing them.
