Gadgets vs. family bonding

I wonder if being fully equip with gadgets nowadays can fulfill completely the thing we call family bonding...I just observe that my kid spend time in the tab instead of listening to me and my husband too spend more time in watching youtube videos and checking facebook updates than talking to me...I think if there is good things we benefit from gadgets there are also things that are important being ignored.Can you share your thoughts guys.

 

Darling yes I have let my children play with gadgets (be it my ipad,or cellphone),but Cell phones or other gadget have been known to increase the risk of brain cancer. There are waves of a sort being transmitted as we use the phones. These same waves are transmitted in the iPod or iPad. but I have ensured this is balanced with other activities and I do not rely on it for my childrens' overall development. I don't think we can deny that their skill on these things are the way of the future, but I think we should also be very careful to ensure that there is balance and they know their limits and boundries.

 

Thanks Rolita now I'm worried of the effects of these gadgets that will give to my kid.Can you share also apart from books(coloring,reading,sticker)blocks,balls,legos, what are materials and toys to give to toddlers who easily get bored?My son get easily bored of the toys if he mastered it so much and I want to refrain him from using any gadgets as much as I can.

 

Gadgets affect the bonding of our family/love ones. There are advantages and disadvantages. Bring him to sports, training or workshops available during summer. You can also bring your family outside together, like to the beach, park or somewhere you can have your precious time together. Because if you only stay in one place, not just your son gets bored, everybody as well.

 

play dough is one of stuff to fuel their imaginations.and also my husband and kids including me have hours of fun just throwing a screwed up ball of paper at each other. and we make sure we have time to engage with them to play..

 

Since gadgets came into our lives family bonding is getting lesser n lesser, these days husband is stick to his mobile phone, changing status, wife on her smartphone on whatsup and kids playing games on their tab. No one is bothered about anyone
