Qatar Weight Problem..How to fix the obesity crisis.?

    Obesity is a national health crisis—that much we know.
    As someone who has dieted many times, for me, a major contributing factor is finding affordable "good for you" foods in the grocery store. Limit dairy and take corn syrup and excess sugar out and you are basically left with 1/2 the outer perimeter of the store: meat, a portion of breads, and produce. Go organic and you are left with the most expensive of the remaining choices.
    I have quit diets due to the cost. I have also found local farmers markets to be more expensive than the grocer. As long as it costs more and is inconvenient to eat right, people will be overweight and obese.
    "The basic formula for weight loss is simple and widely known: consume fewer calories than you expend."

    Can it be any simpler than that? No matter what happens, don't put too much food in your mouth.

    I am a slightly obese and diabetic...my doctor advise me to shift to healthy foods like organic foods rich in protein and fiber to burn more fats too...she advise me to find Quinoa. Can anybody help me where to find Quinoa products here in doha?

    I am really dealing with obesity problem nowadays because not only due to out of exercise but I usually choose recently to eat anything instant to cook because I find it easier and less time to cook than going through eating vegetables. Sometimes I choose to eat more biscuits and breads and drink juices available in bottle. I find myself guilty because of my eating styles cause my blood sugar shoot up and I feel so sickly. Now I realized that I should invest time to analyze first which food to take that would not impair my health. Organic foods are best especially those rich in fiber and protein and less in carbs.

    The Mega Mart at Barwa Village has a good range, if the Mega Mart at Ramada/Radisson is. convenient option.and
    I have a feeling you might find Quinoa at Diet House in Bin Omran/Town Center.

    I was obese before but slowly i managed to lose weight. What i learned from losing weight is you have to check and control your intake and do the exercise. There are so many tips on how to lose weight but if you have no discipline in following those tips, you got nothing but fats. Don't starve yourself, and sometimes you think you're hungry but actually you're not, you just need to drink water and your starvation will go away.

    I also read an article from Qatar day that drinking grape fruit juice can speed up our body metabolism and also can help lower blood sugar.

    Really? Is it available in the market I mean what's your recommended grape fruit juice so I can give a shot because my metabolism is slow.
